GREEN DIAMOND MAGAZINE
The Green Diamond magazine was the official publication of the Illinois Central Historical Society. Issues 1 through 132 were published by the ICHS, and following the consolidation of the ICHS with the Monticello Railway Museum in 2020, the final issues of the Green Diamond, Issues 132 through 136, were published by the museum.
The consolidation of the ICHS and MRM was facilitated through both organizations’ mutual interest in the preservation of the history of the Illinois Central Railroad, its predecessors, and successors. Towards that goal, text-searchable PDFs of Issues 1 through 34 are provided here and can be downloaded below.
More issues will be posted as they are processed by our volunteer staff. Eventually, all 136 Issues of the Green Diamond will be available here.
