FAther’s DAy Train

Dads ride our weekend train free when accompanied by their children! Take Dad on a fun weekend train ride with the family.

You may board the train at the Nelson Crossing Depot (the main Museum site) or at the Wabash Depot in downtown Monticello. The train ride lasts approximately one hour. Passengers may also choose to lay over at either depot to view displays and catch a later train back. You can walk through the display cars and view many pieces of rolling stock, as well as visit the Museum's gift shop. At the Wabash Depot, you can walk to many shops and restaurants around Monticello’s Courthouse Square.

Fares

Fares are sold as round trips.

Adults: $15.00

Seniors (62 and older): $12.00

Children (2 through 12): $8.00

Children (under 2): Free (with adult fare)

Cab Rides

Diesel cab rides are available on most trips on a first-come, first-serve basis for a $20 surcharge above the normal adult fare. Cab rides are not available on steam or special event weekends. A maximum of two cab riders can be accommodated per trip.

Normal fares apply unless otherwise specified. Please note that schedules, fares and equipment are subject to change at the Museum's discretion.
