The museum is open weekends and holidays May through October. You may board the train at Nelson Crossing depot at the museum or the Wabash Depot in downtown Monticello. Layovers at either depot are encouraged. There are museum cars to walk through and many pieces of rolling stock to view at the museum site, as well as the gift shop.

Cab Rides
Cab Rides are available on most weekends on a first come, first serve, basis for a $20.00 donation over the cost of that day's adult full cost fare. Cab Rides may not be available on special event weekends.
